Dollar Insult collects minimal data to provide the AI roast service. This includes purchase records, insult text and feedback ratings, and an anonymous device identifier. We do not require account creation.
The app uses your camera and microphone to analyze your appearance and surroundings for roast generation. Camera frames are processed in-memory and NEVER stored, saved, or transmitted as images. Only text descriptions of what the AI detected are stored. No facial recognition or biometric data is collected.
Data is used to generate personalized insults, improve content quality via feedback ratings, and process payments. We do not sell your information to third parties.
We use OpenAI for insult generation (receives text descriptions, not images), ElevenLabs for voice synthesis, RevenueCat for purchase management, and Supabase for cloud storage. Payment processing is handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe.
Data is stored on Supabase (AWS infrastructure), encrypted in transit and at rest. Anonymous authentication means no email, password, or personal identity is required.
You may request deletion of all data at any time. Uninstalling the app stops all data collection. See our Delete Account page.
Dollar Insult is rated 17+ and is not intended for children under 17.
